Located on Store Strandstræde, close to Nyhavn yet hidden from the crowds, Zeleste is a peaceful retreat from the city's bustle. When you step through our charming rooms, you will discover our courtyard: a cobbled oasis surrounded by some of Nyhavn's oldest houses.

Here, you can enjoy a quiet lunch, warm yourself by the open fireplace as evening falls, or find a private corner for an informal meeting. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed – perfect for savoring good company, tranquility, and meaningful conversations.

History, Soul, and Craftsmanship

Inside, you move through rooms that blend the old with the new in a space full of history and character. Zeleste is set in a building from 1664 that has housed everything from a blacksmith to a gallery and a florist. 

On the ground floor, the rooms wind around the courtyard, while upstairs you'll find a spacious private dining room and a more intimate cabinet for private events. The interiors are a blend of historic charm and modern design – from the beautiful zinc panels in the front room to the old smithy's hearth, now an open fireplace, and the building’s endearing quirks that speak to its age and soul.

At Zeleste, the menu centers around the best from the sea and the garden. We serve beautifully crafted dishes featuring seafood, shellfish, and seasonal vegetables, drawing inspiration from both Nordic and French cuisines.

Our menu changes to reflect the flavors of the season but some favorites remain throughout the year. Craftsmanship and quality are at the core of everything we serve – whether you choose a tasting menu, oysters and champagne, or a seafood platter to share in the evening sun.
